Selective Breeding
Doumston Dachshunds Breeding (DDB) program has ensured new blood lines by beginning the DDB program with International genetics! A European Dame from Bulgaria was crossed with a Western Canadian Sire from British Columbia to start DDB. Both dogs came from breeders with combined experience of 50+ years.
Doumston Dachshund values learning, research and experience thereby consistently seeking support and collaborating with other more experienced Miniature Dachshund breeders of dilutes and dapples.
In House Pre-Training
Doumston Dachshunds are exposed to preliminary crate training and artificial grass potty- training....getting a head start on a smooth transition into their new homes!
We want all Doumston puppies to have the least amount of stress leaving their "Mumzy", their litter mates, and their birth home.
We feel learning how to be house and crate trained is an important step for a smooth transition.
Raised With Love
Doumston Dachshunds are birthed with 24/7 support and raised inside our home. Our pups have constant supervision with a family member always nearby and "Mumzy" in their pen for security until 7 weeks of age. Handled since birth, our puppies make excellent family pets as we expose them to their father, our other family dogs, our cat and house guests including children...making Doumston Dachshunds the most well socialized pups (and our Veterinarian staff agrees!)

Hi I am Caution! I was the biggest boy born and I just kept growing!! My parents call me a little "tank" as I am chubby and full of energy...and over 5 pounds before I was 8 weeks old! I look a lot like my Mumzy with a unique very light beautiful blue merle dapple coat colour. I am high energy, rambunctious, and would make a great family pet for a family that likes the outdoors as I will be a sturdy "tweenie" that will be good at hiking and playing outside. I am also cuddly with all my extra skin and love to lick faces...including all the technicians and doctors at the VET!

Hi I am Sky! I was the first born girl of the bunch and also the biggest girl. I take after both my mom and my dad with my solid "blue" coat colour from my mom but my stocky stature like my dad. I am a beautiful Isabella and Tan docy looking for my furever home. I am sweet and loving but I can hold my own with my brothers and sister too! I have beautiful blue eyes and they just might stay blue when I am an adult making me extra pretty!

I love attention and to be held but I am one that can also sleep on my own. I have a beautiful light chocolate and black dapple coat; a perfect mix between my parents. I will grow into the most beautiful Doxy boy that is a mix between high energy and snuggles.

I am a beautiful light chocolate brown with black dappling and I match my twin brother LImey! I am so beautiful that I will be staying at Doumston Dachshunds to join the Doumston breeding program.

Hi I am Basil but I like to be called "Baz"! I am a very unique chocolate coat with a lot of black dappling even on my sweet face!
